Bangkok – A journalist of the television station Channel 7 has been displayed for libel, because he has uncovered a possible bribery scandal within the provincial administration of Samut Prakan.
Sompoch Toraksa met on 13. August with representatives of the Thai anti-corruption organization (ACT), the Thai Journalists Association, the Council of Lawyers and the Association for Television- and broadcast journalists, to discuss the way forward.

Sompoch had put in a report awkward questions. It went to the Provincial Administration of Samut Prakan, which a budget of 800 Mio. Wants to have provided baht for stamp. By way of his investigative inquiries Sompoch also spoke with Abbot, the expressed concern about the use of the budgets of the Provincial Administration. This then filed a criminal complaint against Sompoch
Against Sompoch is yet to be determined. When the case is forwarded to the prosecutor's office, is yet unknown. But Sompoch wants to continue in any case, saying, he will do his duty.
